Lawrence Steven is a well-respected figure in the art world, with over 20 years of experience as an art dealer, curator, and owner of the Art and Picture Store in Brick, NJ. At its peak, the store was the largest frame shop in the state.Â
In 2008, Lawrence founded the New York Art Factory, which began as a gallery warehouse in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen accessible by appointment only. He and his team offered art consultation services to locals and tourists, including in-apartment consultations for clients living all throughout NYC. In key locations throughout the city you could find Lawrence’s team with pop-up art stands – the goal was to bring high-end art that could go for thousands of dollars in a gallery to everyone for a respectable price. Lawrence’s passion for the arts and his ability to recognize and nurture talent led him to establish the New York Art Factory, where he guides and inspires up to 50 artists in his unique style.
When COVID-19 hit, he pivoted his focus to the online world and kept his artists working. And that’s what you see here, a highly curated collection of art from many artists under Lawrence’s direction. Lawrence Steven has been working with some of the best and most experienced artists in the world for 50 years. Lawrence Steven likes to think of himself as a customer advocate.
